- Oct 2009 - BCF and the Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial award $5,000 grant to Bandera Sports Complex for a children's playground.
- 2009 - BCF Sponsors the Bandera Community Garden Fund for a committee project to engage youth and benefit local residents
- Dec 2008 - BCF awards $5,000 operating grant to Arthur Nagel Clinic.
- Nov 2007 - BCF awards $1,000 grant to Silver Sage Senior Center for Meals on Wheels.

- Nov 2006 - BCF asks community to match its $5,000 Challenge Grant to the Boys & Girls Club of Bandera. This is the final piece needed by the Boys & Girls Club to obtain an Alkek Foundation $30,000 operating grant. Community responds and BCF awards grant on Dec 15, 2006.
- Aug 2006 - "Bandera Honors Veterans" committee establishes fund for Veterans Day events.
- Nov 2005 - BCF hosts third annual Nonprofit Leadership Workshop.
- Summer 2005 - BCF establishes Bandera Area Victims Relief Fund to aid Katrina victims relocated to Bandera County. BCF awards proceeds to Helping Hand Crisis Intervention Center for distribution to resettled hurricane victims.
- Mar 2005 - BCF and the Bandera County Historical Commission establish an endowment for the recording and preservation of Bandera County artifacts and buildings.

- Nov 2004 - BCF and donor Nat Lyons establish Lakehills Library Operating Fund Endowment.
- Nov 2004-Mar 2006 - Kronkosky Charitable Foundation awards BCF a grant to facilitate regional community planning. First phase focuses on nonprofits; later phases will address community planning and economic development.
- Apr 2004 - BCF & and Bandera Independent School District Foundation establish endowment fund to benefit academics and support educational opportunities for faculty and students.
- Mar 2004 - BCF and Lake Medina Conservation Society (LAMCOS) establish endowment for perpetual care and good stewardship of the river. The advised fund is the Medina River Protection Fund.
- Mar 2004 - BCF collaborates with Kiwanis BHS Key Club to initiate Youth Community Services Projects. Key Club becomes BCF Youth Advisory Committee.
- Feb 2004 - BCF establishes committee to host first annual "Nonprofit Summit Workshop" for all area nonprofits and project managers to exchange "best practices" ideas.
- Dec 2003 - Sep 2004 - BCF organizes "Re-opening the Western Trail," the 48-day trail ride from Bandera to Dodge City, Kansas. Celebrate Bandera 2004 was extended through Labor Day to include the opening festivities of the trail ride.
- May 2003 - Helping Hand establishes a maintenance endowment fund with BCF.

- Nov 2002 - BCF hosts inaugural National Philanthropy Day reception and recognition of the year's "Best in Philanthropy." Award recipients were nominated by the board and staff of area nonprofits. BCF continues to host the National Philanthropy Day celebration every two years.
- Sep 2002 - BCF organizes the first Celebrate Bandera – a benefit for flood victims whose homes were damaged or destroyed. BCF appointed a citizens' committee to choose grant recipients and provided grants to ten applicants who were judged to have the greatest need. Each year thereafter, BCF has hosted Celebrate Bandera to raise money for disaster relief and other community needs.
- Sep 2002 - Unity Study Group and BCF establish Disaster Relief Endowment Fund to address future disaster relief needs of area residents.
- Jul 2002 - BCF establishes disaster relief accounts in all Bandera banks to receive nationwide donations for flood victims. Also, BCF contacts Texas philanthropic foundations to assess potential disaster relief assistance.
- Spring 2002 - BCF donates to Friends of Library and Silver Sage building funds.

- Apr 2002 - BCF hosts Fine Arts Sale, Exhibition, and Silent Auction at Conoco's Purple Sage Corporate Retreat, the first of BCF's annual fundraising events held each spring.
- Nov 2001 - BCF completes three-year strategic action plan. Plan covers Governance, Management, Resource Development, Communications, Public Relations, and Grant Making.
- Jul 2001 - BCF organizes area support for Kronkosky Foundation's "Precious Minds-New Connections" initiative to target child abuse and provide parenting education.
- Apr 2001 - BCF hosts Nonprofit Resource Center of Texas (San Antonio) board orientation and training seminar for regional nonprofits.
- Sep 2000 to date - BCF acts as the local nonprofit resource center by providing assistance to area nonprofits in such key areas as grant writing, strategic planning, endowment building, and board development. At least nine organizations have benefited from this assistance, directly resulting in gifts and grants of more than $2.5 million.
- Mar 2000 - BCF hosts information seminar with San Antonio Area Foundation presentations for regional financial advisors, attorneys, accountants, bankers, and other community leaders.
- Jan 2000 - BCF & Bandera Resource Conservation & Development (BRC&D) co-host Nonprofit Resource Center of Texas (San Antonio) training session in Bandera for regional nonprofit boards.
- Oct 1999 - BCF signs Advised Fund agreement with SAAF to manage donor gifts; deposits initial funds with SAAF.
- Mar 1999 - BCF established as a community foundation. Bylaws & Articles of Incorporation drafted.
- Oct 1998 to Feb 1999 - Ad hoc committee made up of area residents begins to organize Bandera Community Foundation.
